| Avalon Expands Its Sales Team with Phil Yarbrough and Brandes Elitch
ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Avalon International, a leading provider of Check 21
and transaction processing software, is pleased to announce that Phil Yarbrough
is joining the Avalon sales team. Phil will serve as the Vice President of
Business Development and will be responsible for creating a channel market for
remote check capture within the large corporate marketplace. Brandes Elitch
will also join the team as Director of Sales & Marketing to support Phil in
expansion of corporate remote capture market channel.
Phil Yarbrough, until recently, was the corporate VP with Metavante Corporation
where he helped develop, market and sell their Check 21 ("Sendpoint Merchant")
capture system. Previously, Phil was SVP of Sales for Selkirk Financial
Technologies (now owned by Thomson Financial), a treasury workstation software
company, EVP of Driscoll & Associates (now owned by Trintech), a leading
provider of bank reconciliation software to the largest US retailers, and SVP
of Worldwide Sales for S2 (now owned by ACI), a provider of financial
transaction software switches. Phil has also served as President of CompuTrac,
a law firm automation software company, and as VP and General Manager for the
End User Division of BancTec.
Brandy has previously worked both as corporate cash manager and in cash
management sales. He served as a cash management analyst for Fireman's Fund
Insurance Company, and was the first Cash Manager at Charles Schwab, Inc.
Moving to cash management sales, he managed the Northern California Middle
Market Cash Management Sales organization for Wells Fargo Bank and sold payment
services for First National Bank of Chicago. He has also worked extensively in
the merchant card and payment guarantee space, creating a cash management
department for National Bank of the Redwoods (now owned by Westamerica Bank)
and a National Accounts Department for CrossCheck, Inc., the third largest
check guarantee company in the US. He has an MBA from New York University, is
an Accredited ACH Professional and Certified Cash Manager, and has served as
President of the San Francisco chapter of the Treasury Management Association.
